How to enable name changes on tickets
You can allow buyers to change the ticket holder's details directly from their private area, without requiring you to make the change manually.
This option is particularly useful if your customers purchase tickets well in advance or if tickets are often transferred to another person.
Enable ticket holder changes
Open your event and go to Event page > Settings.
In the Ticket holder change section, click Edit.
Then:
- Enable Allow ticket holder changes.
- Set the deadline date and time until which changes will be allowed.
- Set the price for the ticket holder change service.
- Click Save.
Once enabled, buyers will be able to update their ticket details from their private area until the specified deadline.
Ticket holder change price
You can set the amount customers must pay to change the ticket holder.
This allows buyers to manage the change themselves and make the payment directly during the process, so you don't have to handle these requests manually.
What happens if I change the settings after tickets have already been sold?
Changes to these settings mainly affect new sales.
Tickets that have already been sold will keep the deadline that was in effect at the time of purchase, unless you set a later deadline. In that case, the new later deadline will also apply to those tickets.
Example: if a ticket allowed changes until September 20 and you later extend the deadline to September 25, that ticket will also benefit from the new deadline. If you shorten the deadline to September 15, the ticket will keep its original September 20 deadline.
Disable ticket holder changes
If you no longer want to offer this service for new sales, go back to Event page > Settings > Ticket holder change, click Edit, and disable Allow ticket holder changes.
Set the deadline sufficiently in advance of the event to avoid last-minute changes that could make attendee management and access control more difficult.
