What is the Potential Index and how to improve it

The Potential Index is a go&dance tool that helps you assess how well prepared your event is to sell tickets and reach more people.

It analyzes different aspects of your event and suggests actions you can take to improve its setup, presentation, and promotion.

The Potential Index is a guidance tool. Its purpose is to help you identify opportunities for improvement, but a specific score does not guarantee a certain number of sales or attendees.

Where can I find the Potential Index?

Open your event from the Professional Area and select Potential Index from the side menu.

From this section, you can view:

• Your event's current index.
• Actions you have already completed.
• Actions you can still complete.
• Your progress across the different areas analyzed.

How does it work?

go&dance analyzes different aspects that may influence an event's sales potential.

For example, it may take into account aspects related to:

• The information and content on the event page.
• Ticket configuration.
• The sales tools being used.
• Event promotion and exposure.
• Other features available on go&dance.

In the Potential Index itself, you will find the actions currently available and an explanation of what you can do to complete them.

The recommendations and criteria used to calculate the index may evolve as we add new tools and features to go&dance.

How can I improve my Potential Index?

Review the actions shown as pending and complete those that make sense for your event.

Each action includes a brief explanation to help you understand what you can improve.

As you complete actions, the Potential Index will be updated to reflect the current status of your event.

Do I need to complete every action?

No.

The Potential Index works as a recommendation guide, not as a list of mandatory requirements.

Depending on the type of event, some actions may be more relevant than others. A multi-day festival, a party, a workshop, or a small event may require different sales and promotion strategies.

Use the index to discover opportunities and apply the recommendations that best fit the characteristics and goals of your event.

Why is an action still shown as pending?

Each recommendation has its own conditions for being considered complete.

If you recently completed an action and it is still shown as pending:

1. Check that your changes were saved correctly.
2. Review the recommendation description to see what is required.
3. Refresh the page to check the index status again.

What should my Potential Index be?

There is no specific score that guarantees the success of an event.

The goal is not simply to achieve the highest possible score, but to use the index to identify aspects of your event that you could improve or go&dance tools that you are not yet taking advantage of.

Check your Potential Index regularly, especially while preparing the launch and promotion of your event.
