How to configure a promoter's commissions

You can configure each promoter's commissions and discounts to define how much they will receive for the tickets they sell and, if you wish, what discount buyers will receive when using their code.

To configure them, go to Marketing → Promoters, select the promoter you want to edit, and open the Commissions and discounts tab.

Configure the general conditions

You can set general conditions that will apply by default to tickets sold by the promoter.

You can configure:

  • Default discount: the discount that will be applied to the buyer.
  • Default commission: the commission the promoter will earn from the sale.

Both the discount and commission can be set as a fixed amount (€) or a percentage (%).

These conditions will automatically apply to tickets unless you have defined specific conditions for a particular ticket.

Configure different conditions for each ticket

Under Custom settings by ticket, you can set specific conditions for each ticket type.

This allows the same promoter to have different discounts or commissions depending on the ticket they sell.

For example, you can set one commission for a Full Pass and a different one for a Party Pass or Hotel ticket.

Specific ticket conditions take precedence over the promoter's general conditions.

Difference between discount and commission

It is important to distinguish between the two:

  • The discount reduces the price paid by the buyer.
  • The commission is the amount the promoter earns from the sale.

This allows you to use commissions only, discounts only, or combine both depending on your agreement with each promoter.

Check the commissions generated

Once the promoter starts generating sales, you can open their profile and view the Settlement tab.

go&dance distinguishes between:

  • Online sales: sales made through go&dance and associated with the promoter. You can view the amount sold, commissions generated, and the resulting amount to be paid.
  • Offline sales: sales made directly by the promoter and subsequently recorded on go&dance. You can view the amount collected, commissions generated, and the resulting settlement amount.

This information allows you to keep track of the amounts corresponding to each promoter.

Important: go&dance does not make payments to promoters. The financial relationship and settlement of commissions are the responsibility of the event organizer. The organizer must make the corresponding payments directly to each promoter according to the agreed conditions. go&dance provides the information and calculations needed to facilitate this process but does not handle commission payments.
