How to configure ticket prices and types

On go&dance, you can create different tickets for your event and configure how their prices change throughout the sales period.

This allows you to offer different options to your attendees and adapt your pricing strategy, for example by offering a lower price to those who purchase in advance.

Create and configure a ticket

From your event management area, go to Event page → Tickets.

From this section, you can create new tickets or edit those you have already configured.

Each ticket has different settings, such as its name, availability, price, texts, and other advanced options.

Configure the price of a ticket

When creating or editing a ticket, go to the Prices tab.

Under Pricing policy, you can choose how you want to manage the price of that ticket.

You can currently use:

  • Fixed price
  • Price scaling by date
  • Price scaling by sales

Fixed price

Use this option when you want to keep the same price throughout the entire sales period.

Simply enter the ticket sale price.

For example, you can create a "Full Pass" ticket for €120 and keep that price for as long as the ticket is available.

Price scaling by date

This option allows the price to change automatically as the event approaches.

You can define different dates and the price the ticket will have until each one.

For example:

Period

Price

Until September 30

€80

Until October 31

€90

Until November 30

€100

Final price

€110

When one period ends, go&dance automatically applies the price corresponding to the next one.

This option is particularly useful for creating Early Bird pricing strategies and encouraging attendees to purchase sooner.

Price scaling by sales

You can also make the price increase based on the number of tickets sold.

Instead of setting dates, you define how many tickets will be sold at each price tier.

For example:

Tickets

Price

First 50

€80

Next 50

€90

Next 50

€100

Final price

€110

Once all the tickets in a tier have been sold, the next price is applied automatically.

This allows you to reward people who purchase earlier without relying on a specific date.

Create different ticket types

You can create as many ticket options as your event needs.

For example, a festival could offer:

  • Full Pass
  • Party Pass
  • Day Pass
  • Leader Pass
  • Follower Pass
  • Workshops or masterclasses
  • Tickets for additional activities

Each ticket can have its own settings, availability, and pricing policy.

Tip: use clear names so buyers can quickly understand what each option includes and the differences between them.

Price scaling by date or by sales?

Both options allow you to encourage early purchases, but they work differently.

Price scaling by date is useful when you want to clearly communicate that the price will increase at specific times, for example: "Early Bird until September 30."

Price scaling by sales is useful when you want to limit lower prices to a certain number of buyers, for example: "First 50 tickets for €80."

Choose the pricing policy that best fits your event's sales strategy.

Save your changes

When you have finished configuring the ticket, click Save.

If you are editing a ticket that is already on sale, carefully review your changes before saving to make sure the price and conditions buyers will see are exactly what you want.
