How to configure the information to collect from attendees
You can decide what information attendees must provide when purchasing a ticket. This can be configured at event level, and you can also request additional information for specific ticket types.
Configure information for the entire event
Go to Event page > Settings and find the Information to collect section.
Click Edit and enable the information you want to request. You can choose from:
- Full name.
- Email.
- Phone number.
- Gender.
- Role (follower/leader/both).
- ID/Passport.
- Country of residence.
- City of residence.
The full name is always required.
Click Save to apply the changes.
The information you enable in this section will be requested for all tickets in your event.
Request additional information for a specific ticket
You may also need different information depending on the ticket type.
For example, you may want to request an ID only from buyers of a specific ticket or ask for the dance role only for workshop tickets.
To do this:
- Go to Event page > Tickets.
- Edit the ticket you want to configure.
- Under the General tab, find the Information to collect section.
- Enable any additional information you need.
- Click Save.
This allows each ticket type to request additional information on top of the information configured for the entire event.
Example: if you request full name and email at event level, all tickets will require this information. If you also enable ID/Passport for a specific ticket, only attendees with that ticket will also be required to provide their ID or passport.
Only request the information you really need
We recommend not requesting more information than necessary.
The more fields a person has to complete during the purchase process, the longer the process will be. Only request information that you genuinely need to organize the event or manage attendees afterwards.
Need to request other information?
If you need to collect information that is not available among the existing options, contact us at info@goandance.com.
We can help you configure additional custom fields for your event.
