How to configure the terms and conditions for my event

You can add your own event-specific terms and conditions. Once configured, buyers will be required to accept them during the purchase process in order to complete their ticket purchase.

This allows you to inform attendees in advance about the conditions that apply to the event and keep a record of their acceptance during the purchase process.

Create the terms and conditions

Go to Event page > Settings and find the Terms and conditions for your event section.

Click Manage terms and conditions and, if you haven't created any yet, select + Add version.

You can then configure:

  • Terms and conditions: write the conditions that buyers must accept during the purchase process.
  • Ticket terms and conditions: optionally, you can add a shorter text containing the most important conditions, which will be printed on the attendee's ticket.

You can also use Add translation to make the terms and conditions available in different languages.

When you're finished, click Save.

Activate a version

When you save your terms and conditions, a new version is created, but you must select it as the active version before it can be used for the event.

From Manage terms and conditions:

  1. Select the version you want to use.
  2. Review its content.
  3. Click Select this version.

The version will be marked as Selected and will be the one shown during the purchase process from that point onward.

Important: changing the active version of the terms and conditions only affects new sales. Purchases made previously will retain the terms and conditions that were in effect at the time of purchase.

Update the terms and conditions

If you need to change your event's terms and conditions, you can create a new version by clicking + Add version.

The system keeps the different versions so you can identify which terms and conditions were in effect at any given time.

Once you have created the new version, remember to select it as the active version if you want it to apply to future purchases.

Acceptance during the purchase process

When your event has an active version, the terms and conditions will be presented to the user during the purchase process, and they must accept them in order to complete the transaction.

We recommend writing clear and easy-to-understand terms that explain the relevant aspects of purchasing and attending your event, such as applicable policies, access requirements, or any other conditions attendees should be aware of before purchasing.
