# How to enable Flexible Cancellation

The **Flexible Cancellation** option allows your customers to add the ability to cancel their ticket later, up to a deadline that you define, when purchasing a ticket.

Offering this option helps **build trust at the time of purchase** and can encourage **early ticket sales**. Customers can buy with greater peace of mind even if they are not yet completely sure whether they will be able to attend the event.

## Enable Flexible Cancellation

Open your event and go to **Event page > Settings**.

In the **Flexible Cancellation** section, click **Edit** and configure the following options:

1. Enable **Flexible Cancellation**.
2. Set the **deadline date and time** until which buyers can use the service.
3. Set the **service price** as a percentage of the total purchase price.
4. Click **Save**.

From that point on, customers will be able to add Flexible Cancellation during the purchase process.

## Why offer Flexible Cancellation?

When tickets for an event go on sale months in advance, some customers may delay their purchase because they are not yet certain whether they will be able to attend.

Flexible Cancellation reduces this barrier by giving them the option to cancel within the specified period. This allows you to:

- **Build greater trust** during the purchase process.
- **Reduce the perceived risk** for the buyer.
- **Encourage early ticket purchases**.
- Encourage more customers to buy earlier instead of waiting until closer to the event.

## How much does Flexible Cancellation cost?

You decide the additional percentage the buyer must pay to add this service.

For example, if you set the price at **7%**, a customer who wants Flexible Cancellation will pay an additional 7% of the total purchase price.

Of the amount paid by the buyer for this service, **go&dance rewards the organizer with 50% after the event ends**.

## What happens to the money from these sales?

The amount corresponding to sales that include Flexible Cancellation **will be held until the deadline you have configured**.

This ensures that the necessary funds are available in case any of these buyers exercise their right to cancel their ticket within the specified period.

Once the deadline has passed, the corresponding amount will no longer be protected by this service and may become part of your settlements.

> **Important:** when setting the deadline, keep in mind that the money from sales that include Flexible Cancellation will remain on hold until that date.
