# How to create private sales

**Private sales** allow you to share specific tickets through a dedicated link, even if those tickets are **hidden from the public event page**.

This is useful when you want to offer tickets only to a specific group of people, run a presale, or prepare a sale before making it public.

## How private sales work

Normally, a ticket configured as **hidden** does not appear on the event page.

When you create a private sale, go&dance generates a special link that you can share with your customers. People who access the event using this link will be able to see the tickets you have included in the private sale, even if they are hidden from other visitors.

> **Important:** a private sale changes the **visibility** of tickets for people who access them through the link, but it **does not change their availability**.

This means you can share the link before sales begin. Users will be able to access and see the ticket, but they will not be able to purchase it until the date and time configured under its **availability** settings.

For example, you can send out a presale link in the morning and configure the tickets to become available at **18:00**. Everyone will have the link in advance, but purchases will only open at the time you have set.

## Create a private sale

To create a private sale:

1. Open your event.
2. Go to **Marketing → Private sales**.
3. Click **Create private sale**.
4. Enter a name that allows you to easily identify it.
5. Select the tickets you want to include.
6. Click **Save**.

You can select specific tickets or use the **Show all tickets** option if you want the link to provide access to all hidden tickets.

Keep in mind that tickets that are already publicly visible will continue to appear as usual.

## Share the link

Once you have created the private sale, it will appear in the **Private sales** list.

Click **Share URL** to get the link you need to send to your customers.

From this window, you can copy or share the private sale URL and select the link language when applicable.

Anyone who has this URL will be able to use it to access the tickets included in the private sale.

## Combine private sales and availability

Private sales are particularly useful when combined with ticket **availability** dates.

For example, you can:

- Keep a ticket hidden from the general public.
- Include it in a private sale.
- Share the link in advance.
- Configure the ticket to become available for purchase from a specific date and time.

This means you **do not need to wait until sales open to share the link**. You can distribute it in advance and let go&dance automatically control when purchases can start and end.

### Remember the difference

**Private sale / visibility:** determines who can **see** a ticket.

**Availability:** determines when that ticket can be **purchased**.

Even if someone can see a ticket through a private sale link, they will always need to comply with the availability dates you have configured for that ticket.
