# How to cancel an event

If you need to cancel an event published on go&dance, it is important to **stop ticket sales as soon as possible and contact our team** so we can help you manage the cancellation and refunds correctly.

## 1. Stop ticket sales

The first thing you should do is prevent any new purchases.

To do this, go to your event's ticket settings and:

- Mark the tickets as **unavailable**, or
- Set their **stock to 0**.

Make sure that no tickets are still available for sale before continuing with the cancellation process.

## 2. Contact go&dance

Once you have stopped sales, email us at info@goandance.com and let us know which event you need to cancel.

Our team will review the case and assist you throughout the cancellation process.

## 3. Do not issue refunds directly

If the event is cancelled, **we recommend that you do not issue refunds directly through the platform before contacting us**.

Refunds issued through the standard process on the platform **do not include a refund of the booking fees**.

When an event is cancelled, these fees must also be refunded to buyers, so the process needs to be handled differently.

Contact our team first so we can explain how to proceed and help you manage the refunds correctly.

> **Important:** if you are going to cancel an event, stop sales first and contact info@goandance.com before issuing any refunds.
