# How the promoter and affiliate programs work

go&dance offers two ways to work with third parties to increase the reach and sales of your event: **promoters** and **affiliates**.

Although both can promote your event and generate sales in exchange for a commission, the main difference is **who manages the relationship with them and who is responsible for paying their commissions**.

## Promoters

**Promoters** are partners that the **organizer adds and manages directly** for their event.

You can add your own promoters, assign them a code, configure their conditions, and track the visits and sales generated by each one.

The relationship with these promoters is the organizer's responsibility:

- The organizer decides which promoters they want to work with.
- The organizer can configure the conditions for each promoter.
- go&dance allows you to track their visits and sales and calculates the corresponding amounts.
- **The organizer is responsible for settling and paying their promoters.**
- go&dance **does not make payments** to these promoters.

This option is suitable when you already have your own network of teachers, schools, PR representatives, or other partners who will promote your event.

### Is there any cost for using promoters?

**No.** Adding and managing your own promoters on go&dance **does not involve any additional cost**.

The commissions you configure for them are entirely part of the relationship between the organizer and the promoter, and the organizer is responsible for settling them.

## go&dance affiliates

**Affiliates** are part of the **affiliate network managed by go&dance**.

In this case, you do not need to add or manage each partner individually. As the organizer, you only need to **activate the affiliate program for your event and define the discounts and commissions you want to offer**.

From that point on, go&dance manages the program:

- Promotes your event among its affiliates.
- Tracks the visits and sales they generate.
- Calculates the corresponding commissions.
- **Pays commissions directly to affiliates.**
- Deducts the commissions generated from the **organizer's event settlement**.

Therefore, the organizer **does not need to settle or pay go&dance affiliates directly**.

### Is there any cost for using the affiliate network?

There is **no additional cost** for the organizer.

The organizer decides how much commission they are willing to offer for sales generated through the affiliate program. From that commission, **go&dance retains a portion for managing the program, and the remainder goes to the affiliate**.

This means go&dance **does not charge the organizer an additional commission** for using the affiliate network: the organizer's cost is limited to the commission they have configured.

## What's the difference?

| | **Promoters** | **Affiliates** |
| ---- | ---- | ---- |
| Who adds them? | The organizer | go&dance |
| Who manages the relationship? | The organizer | go&dance |
| Who defines the conditions? | The organizer | The organizer defines the program conditions |
| Who tracks sales? | go&dance | go&dance |
| Who pays the commissions? | **The organizer** | **go&dance** |
| How are commissions settled? | The organizer settles directly with each promoter | go&dance deducts them from the event settlement |
| Is there an additional cost? | **No** | **No**. go&dance receives a portion of the configured commission |

In summary, use **Promoters** to manage your own network of partners and **Affiliates** to expand the promotion of your event through the network managed by go&dance.

You can use **both systems at the same time** for the same event.
